The Collaborative Reference Database (CRD) is a tool for providing reference services, that is being developed by the National Diet Library, Japan (NDL) in collaboration with libraries throughout Japan. The CRD currently comprises about 180,000 records of queries from library patrons together with answers prepared by reference librarians and is available for browsing by the general public.

情報学を人文系の研究に導入するデジタル・ヒューマニティーズ（DH）が注目されています。日本の伝統的人文学ではまだ発展途上ですが、北米・ヨーロッパ等の海外では人文学全体でデジタルの手法をつかった研究が活発化しています。そこに大学図書館やライブラリアンが貢献している例も少なくありません。

　図書館はデジタルヒューマニティーズにどこまでかかわることができるでしょうか？

　デジタルアーカイブや研究データなどの資源はどのように活用されるでしょうか？
